Informative talks
We are available every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday after 4 pm and at Saturday and Sunday the whole day in Rotterdam/Schiedam/Vlaardingen.
Other days/times/places may also be possible in consultation.

We want to make children aware about the condition of our planet and show them how to prevent animal suffer, more climate change and an unlivable world. Children are wise and are open minded. Together we can make the change!

In an informative talk we talk about our opinion. We make them aware of the process that their food undergoes until it is on their plate and what it actually was before a meal. We show videos and do activities to inspire their interest.
Why is the bio industry so damaging for our enviroment?
Cows (along with other ruminants like sheep, goats, giraffes and deer) produce methane gas when digesting their food. This is because all these animals have four stomachs, and when eating, the food arrives in the first stomach, but then it comes back up to be eaten and swallowed again.
Methane produced by cows is more damaging to our climate than the carbon dioxide produced by cars
In fact it’s much, much more! Although methane stays in the atmosphere for less time than carbon dioxide, it has been estimated that methane gas from cows is 23x more damaging to our climate than the carbon dioxide produced by cars! Even though there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, methane traps more heat from the sun, meaning it contributes far more to greenhouse gases and global warming.

Why can veganism save world hunger?
We use 56 million acres of land for animal agriculture while dedicating only four million acres of land to growing produce.
A staggering 70 percent of grain in the U.S. is fed to farmed animals rather than to people (The world’s cattle alone consume a quantity of food equal to the caloric needs of 8.7 billion people — more than the entire human population on Earth);
It takes 4,200 gallons of water PER DAY to produce a meat-eater’s diet. A plant-based diet uses only 300 gallons of water per day. Additionally, a whopping 70 percent of our domestic freshwater goes directly to animal agriculture.
All resources taken into account, one acre of land can produce 250 pounds of beef. Sounds pretty good, right? Not when you consider the fact that the same acre of land can produce 50,000 pounds of tomatoes or 53,000 pounds of potatoes.

What is the truth about the dairy industry?
Cows must give birth to produce milk. It may seem obvious, but many people have no idea that to produce milk, cows must be pregnant or have just given birth. Like all mammals, cows lactate to nourish their babies.
At factory farms, cows are forcibly impregnated, a highly invasive and stressful procedure that is repeated about every 12 months. Cows used for dairy are kept in a constant cycle of pregnancy, birth, and lactation.Studies prove that the mother-child bond is not exclusive to humans. Imagine the anguish and stress mother cows endure—giving birth again and again only to have their babies torn away.
Since male calves don’t produce milk, they are useless to the dairy industry and often sold for veal production. Veal is a direct byproduct of the dairy industry.
Female calves are raised as “replacements.” For cows in the dairy industry, the cycle of abuse lasts about five years (just a fraction of their natural lifespan—which could be as long as 25 years—cows) until they are considered “spent” and sent to slaughter. They are brutally killed, mostly for ground beef.
At dairy factory farms, workers burn or saw off cows’ horns without anesthetics. This painful and grisly practice, which often leads to infection, is considered standard.
Through genetic manipulation and drugs, cows produce abnormally large amounts of milk. This unnatural production and the physical damage caused by milking equipment often lead to mastitis, a painful udder infection.
Mastitis generates pus, which gets into the milk, a million cells per spoonful.
The dairy industry exploits farm workers.
